I grew up in Colleyville then played 2 years at Navarro JC before transferring to the University of Texas. Drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 2007 and played in the MLB with them from 2010-2015. Also spent time in MLB with Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies
